Key point. Elementera offers managed AEO services and Lenz, an AI visibility platform. Lenz uses the business details you confirm and sends only buyer questions, without your company's name, to ChatGPT and Gemini. We suit small and mid-sized businesses and funded startups whose buyers research with AI assistants.
This page answers the questions buyers, and the AI assistants they use, ask about us before a first call: how we handle data, what Lenz measures, who we suit, how long the work takes and how we judge the return. If a question you have is not here, write to us and we will answer it, and add it to this page.
What is Elementera, and what does it sell?
Elementera measures and improves how AI search engines such as ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews find, describe and recommend a company. It does that in two ways, and you can use either one or both.
- Managed AEO services, for teams that want the work done for them. We measure where you stand, fix the reasons engines leave you out or describe you wrongly, and report each change against a baseline. Every engagement starts with a call.
- Lenz, our AI visibility platform. It asks ChatGPT and Gemini the questions a buyer in your category would ask, without using your name, and shows how often each engine names you and who it names instead. A new Lenz account includes one free analysis.
Elementera was founded in 2024 and is run by its four co-founders. Their published machine learning research goes back to 2015; the papers are listed on our company page.
Is Elementera a legitimate company?
Yes: Elementera's registered legal name is Elementera AI Inc., a federal corporation under the Canada Business Corporations Act, incorporated on October 22, 2024 (corporation number 1646530-7, which anyone can look up in the Corporations Canada federal corporation search). The company is based in Vancouver, British Columbia, and serves businesses in Canada and the United States. Our terms of service and privacy policy are issued by Elementera AI Inc.
Elementera is run by its four co-founders, each with a public profile page:
- Dr. Maziar Gomrokchi, Co-Founder and CEO
- Soroush Mehri, Co-Founder and Chief AI Officer
- Dr. Mehrdad Mehrbod, Co-Founder and Chief Product Officer
- Mojtaba Ebadi, Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer

Is Elementera a good fit for my company?
Elementera suits small and mid-sized businesses and funded startups whose buyers use AI assistants to research and shortlist. SaaS, fintech and technology companies are common clients, along with other growing businesses that sell to informed buyers.
We are usually a good fit when:
- buyers or investors ask AI assistants about your category before they talk to you;
- an AI engine describes your company out of date, after a rebrand or a new product;
- competitors are named for "best X for Y" and comparison questions, and you are not;
- nobody in-house has the time to cover technical, content and off-site work together.
We work best with teams that want each change measured: we report what moved on each engine against a baseline, and Lenz measures ChatGPT and Gemini today.
What data does Lenz use, and where does it go?
Lenz uses the details you give it about your business, and sends only the buyer questions to the AI engines. Here is the full path, as the Lenz page describes it.
- You give Lenz the context. Products, services, market, geography, industry and, if you choose, your own list of questions. From your homepage, Lenz proposes your industry, products and services.
- You approve the questions. Before anything is asked, you can delete, edit or add questions, or upload your own list. The list you approve is exactly what runs.
- Only the question is sent. Each question goes to the engines with the location set to the country you choose. The model that writes the questions is told your company name so it can understand your site, and it is instructed not to put your name in the questions.
- Answers are collected. By default, Lenz collects each answer through a third-party data service. A setting can route the same questions through the engines' developer APIs instead.
Where your data lives, who sees it and who handles it:
- Where Lenz stores your account, inputs and reports. In the United States. Lenz runs on Railway in its US East region, and its database is hosted on Amazon Web Services in US East (Northern Virginia). Sign-in is handled by Clerk, an identity provider, so Lenz itself does not store your password.
- How long reports and inputs are kept, and how to delete them. Lenz keeps your account, the details you confirm and your reports so you can compare runs over time; nothing is deleted automatically. To have them deleted, write to care@elementera.com from the email address on your account.
- Who can see your reports. You and the members of your Lenz organization. Elementera staff can open a customer's reports read-only, to support you and to prepare managed-service work. Reports are not public, and no other customer can see them.
- Which providers Lenz uses. OpenAI, through its API, writes the buyer questions and reads each answer to find the businesses it names. Lenz reads your public website through a web-reading service, and collects ChatGPT and Gemini answers through a third-party data service.
- Whether your data trains a model. Elementera does not train any model on your inputs, questions, answers or reports. OpenAI states that data sent to its API is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in.
How does Elementera protect personal data?
Our privacy policy sets out what personal data we collect on our website, why, and who processes it. It says: "We use advanced encryption protocols to protect your data both in transit and at rest."
Lenz is covered too. Our terms of service apply to every service Elementera AI Inc. provides, Lenz at lenz.elementera.com included, and they say that personal information handled in providing our services is handled under the privacy policy.
For any privacy question, or to ask what we hold about you, write to care@elementera.com, the address the privacy policy gives.
What do you need from us for managed AEO services?
For managed AEO services we need enough access to measure your site and make the changes in your plan. We record every change with its date and the state before it.
In the first week we ask for read-only access: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Bing Webmaster Tools, and a viewer seat or read-only token for your CMS. Write access comes later, through a separate CMS token you can revoke. We ask you to invite named users rather than share logins, we keep credentials out of email and chat, and we remove our access at the end of the engagement. You can revoke it yourself at any time.
Everything we deliver is written and dated, and you keep it whether you stay with us or not: the baseline, the action list and the change log.
Is it technically complex, or will it add code to our site?
No, getting started is not technically complex. A Lenz analysis starts from your website address and the business details you confirm; it runs while you wait, and the screen shows progress question by question. Lenz needs no script, tag or code on your website; it reads your public pages from the outside.
In a managed engagement, most of the work is on what engines read: crawler access, structured data, page content, and the facts other websites publish about you. The baseline includes an audit of third-party scripts that inject markup or text into your pages, so we can take weight off a page as well as add to it. We do not add tracking or widgets to your site without your approval.
What does Lenz measure?
Lenz measures whether ChatGPT and Gemini name your company when a buyer asks a category question without your name. It counts your name in the answer itself, the moment an engine puts you in front of a buyer, and shows which competitors were named instead and how they were named.
| What Lenz measures | How |
|---|---|
| Engines | ChatGPT and Gemini, asked the questions you approve; support for more engines is being expanded |
| What counts | Your name in the answer itself, with position, recommendation type and tone |
| Freshness | ChatGPT is asked to use web search for every question, so answers reflect what it finds today |
| Repeats | Each question is asked once per engine by default; our research measurements ask every question at least three times |
The repeats row matters for how you read a single report. In our own research, "When we checked the same 118 searches three times over two days, only 14 of them returned the exact same set of cited websites each time." That was on Google AI Overviews; the lesson for any engine is that one check is a snapshot. Our managed service measures the same questions the same way before and after a change for that reason.
How long does it take, and how do you judge the return?
Plan on about three months before you judge the first stage of work. Some fixes reach engines quickly, such as crawler access; changes that depend on other websites updating what they say about you take longer.
You judge the return against a baseline. Before we change anything, we record where you stand on a fixed list of buyer questions in your buyers' words. After the work, we measure the same questions the same way and report per engine, so you see what moved and what did not. We scope every engagement on a call, so there is no public price list, and you leave the call knowing what we would do first and why.
What does Elementera commit to?
We commit to the work and to measuring it honestly, because no one controls what an AI engine writes: a mention, a citation or a recommendation is the engine's decision, and our job is to make your company the clearest, best-supported answer.
What we commit to:
- We ask each question more than once in our research measurements, and repeat it on another day before we believe a change.
- We never pool engines. A result on one engine is reported for that engine only.
- We publish a finding only with its scope: the engine, the kind of question and the sample it was measured on.
- We record which model answered, the one we asked for and the one the provider says actually answered.
How does Elementera use AI in its own content?
We hold our own pages to the standard we set for clients. Every article on our blog names its author and its reviewer, and findings from our own research are published with the engine, the kind of question and the sample they were measured on.
When a page needs original knowledge, we start from people, not from a model. Origio, our original-content workflow, interviews you and your team first, because a language model cannot supply facts it does not have. If you find an error on our site, write to hello@elementera.com.
Frequently asked questions
What data does Lenz use?
Lenz uses what you give it about your business: products, services, market, geography, industry and, if you choose, your own list of questions. It reads your homepage to propose your industry, products and services, and you review and edit the question list before anything runs. Only the questions are sent to the AI engines, with the location set to the country you choose.
Does Lenz send my company name to ChatGPT or Gemini?
No. Lenz writes the buyer questions without your company's name and sends only the question to the engines. The model that writes the questions is told your company name so it can understand your site, and it is instructed not to put the name in the questions.
Do I need to install anything on my website to use Lenz?
No. Lenz needs no script, tag or code on your website. It starts from your website address and the details you confirm, and reads your public pages from the outside.
Does Lenz use my data to train AI models?
No. Elementera does not train any model on your inputs, questions, answers or reports. Lenz uses OpenAI through its API, and OpenAI states that data sent to its API is not used to train its models unless the customer opts in.
Can Elementera guarantee that ChatGPT or Google will recommend us?
No. No one controls what an AI engine writes, and answers change from one check to the next. We commit to the work, to measuring it the same way before and after, and to telling you plainly what moved and what did not.
Who is Elementera a good fit for?
Small and mid-sized businesses and funded startups whose buyers research and shortlist with AI assistants, including SaaS, fintech and technology companies and other growing businesses that sell to informed buyers.
